2026 Mathematical Olympiad Competition
Mathematical Olympiad Competitions 2026
This year, our Primary 5 students rose to the challenge of some of Singapore's most prestigious mathematical olympiad competitions, demonstrating both exceptional problem-solving ability and the best of our school's I-STAR values.
Our students took part in three competitions: the Raffles Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) Junior Category, organised by Raffles Institution; the RMO Open Category; the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS) 2026, organised by Hwa Chong Institution; and the National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore (NMOS) 2026. These competitions tested students on advanced topics such as number theory, geometry, and combinatorics — well beyond the standard primary school syllabus.
Preparing for and competing in these olympiads required our students to embody the I-STAR values in full. They showed integrity by giving their best effort honestly under timed conditions, and self-discipline through months of dedicated practice outside of regular school hours. When working through challenging problems together, they demonstrated teamwork, supporting and learning from one another. Facing unfamiliar question types, they showed adaptability in applying their knowledge creatively. Most importantly, they displayed tremendous resilience, persevering through difficult problems without giving up.
We are proud of every student who participated, and we congratulate the following students on their outstanding achievements.
