Math Is Fun 2026: Learning Through Play
Math Is Fun is an annual celebration of Mathematics through fun-filled, hands-on activities. These activities are open to every student across all levels and are designed to be inclusive for all students.
This year marks the inaugural Rubik’s Race Friendly Match and Halli Galli Friendly Match, bringing a fresh twist to our annual programme. Students from Primary 4 to Primary 6 put their logical thinking and problem-solving skills to the test in Rubik’s Race, where they had to think strategically and arrange the coloured squares to match a given pattern. Meanwhile, our Primary 1 to Primary 3 students sharpened their observational skills and quick thinking through Halli Galli, a fast-paced card game that challenged them to spot patterns and react swiftly.
Beyond the excitement of the games, students had opportunities to develop important interpersonal skills. As they competed with their peers, they learnt to take turns, follow rules, celebrate one another’s achievements and handle both victories and defeats graciously. These experiences reinforced the importance of fair play, respect and sportsmanship.
Through these engaging activities, students discovered that Mathematics goes beyond numbers and equations. It involves logical reasoning, careful observation, and strategic thinking. Most importantly, Math Is Fun provided a meaningful platform for students to learn, connect and grow together while experiencing the joy of Mathematics.
